This style is aesthetically pleasing as there is no geyser visible on the roof. This option is best for multiple housing estates such as a complex with outside modification regulations.
Option to retrofit your existing geyser, saving you money
Excellent savings on electricity (25 - 40%), especially in the summer months
Weather dependent. For solar to be effective, the sun must shine. Summer savings are excellent, but in winter the savings are reduced. You do still however save in winter
More mechanical components mean more can go wrong
Mechanical components may require maintenance

Pumped solar water heaters

A pumped solar water heater is a solar system which consists of a solar collector (either flat plate or evacuated tubes), a geyser, a circulation pump, and a geyser controller. The geyser is situated inside your roof, so is therefore not visible.

If you chose to install a Pumped solar water heater, you have 2 options. You can either retrofit your existing geyser, in other words, connect your existing geyser to the solar collector, or alternatively we can install a new solar geyser to the panel.
|How does a pumped system work?

The system works using a mechanical pump, controller and temperature probes. When the collector is a certain degree warmer than the water in the geyser, the circulation pump kicks in circulating the cooler water from the geyser, so it travels through the warmer collector, warming up the water. This process continues until the water in the geyser has reached the desired temperature.

There are 2 options; Retrofit your existing geyser, or install a new solar ready geyser.
